Numerous universities answered RTT’s call by entering projects in the areas of ‘3D Content Realtime/Animated,’ ‘3D Rendering & Simulation Software Technologies’ and ‘Interfacing & Interaction’ for the RTT Emerging Technology Contest 2009. Each contribution was assessed and evaluated by an internal jury using various scientific criteria. The three winners are as follows:

The Upper Austria University of Applied Science Hagenberg Campus with the project entitled “CRISTAL - Control of Remotely Interfaced Systems Using Touch-based Actions in Living Spaces”.
 
The Politecnico di Milano with the project entitled ‘Haptic Devices in Mixed-reality Environment for Interior Car Design Evaluation.’

The University of Siegen with the project entitled ‘High-quality Real-time Light Field Rendering.’

Our congratulations to the winners! They will each receive a high-end graphics card from our partner NVIDIA at the award ceremony during the 10th RTT Conference. The three projects will also be showcased as part of the high-tech exhibition at the 10th RTT conference.
